Creating a More Sustainable Future at the Green Gala
Fueled by a passion to creating a more sustainable future, the Reno Riverwalk District partnered with the Nevada Green Business Network to develop the Green Gala. This event recognized those across Nevada who have worked diligently to adopt sustainable practices within their business practices and encourage attendees to follow in their footsteps. The theme of the event, “Celebrate an Evening of Sustainable Dining, Art, + Style,” pulled inspiration from the renowned Met Gala and aimed to combine elegance with environmental consciousness. Attendees were invited to showcase their creativity through upcycled and sustainable fashion, blending glamour with an eco-friendly ethos. From painted suits to plastic container hats, the Green Gala celebrated the beauty of repurposing while maintaining a sophisticated cocktail attire vibe.
Our team at Design on Edge was tasked with developing an overall aesthetic for the event that touched on the themes of natural beauty, creativity, and elegance. Florals and leaves were illustrated by our designers to capture the theme of the event. As the Green Gala was the first of its kind, it was important to maintain a green, natural color palette to support these illustrations and to keep a cohesive identity across the event collateral. Banners, table numbers, posters, and a program of events were developed to ensure this event was sustainable, unique, and truly one-of-a-kind.
